Keep you and your family's oral health in tip-top shape with the Oral-B Bluetooth electric toothbrush. You can get this toothbrush in a complimentary bag with other goodies such as toothpaste, tooth floss, and mouthwash at Creedmoor Family Dentistry.
The Oral-B toothbrush app on your phone will track your tooth brushing, letting you know if you've brushed long enough or if you're brushing too hard. It will track your tooth brushing and let you know if your brushing has improved. Dr. Willis uses this toothbrush in his own home for himself and to teach his four children good tooth brushing habits. Take advantage of a $20 rebate through June! When a patient is in pain, or has an infected tooth nerve, I often recommend root canal therapy as a way to treat existing or avoid future pain. An infected tooth can be very painful, so during the procedure I will first anesthetize the tooth and the surrounding area. I then remove the infection, clean the tooth canal, and fill the space with a safe, heat-activated plastic material that will help prevent reinfection.
After the root canal, it is common to feel minor discomfort because of inflammation around the tooth. This should only last a few days, and I will make sure you have the most effective pain reliever necessary. One of the most important factors in how long a root canal-treated tooth will last is the quality of the dental restoration on top of the tooth. So, it is important to complete follow-up visits to place a crown or a filling over the root canal, so that bacteria doesn't once again enter into the canal. I'm looking forward to helping you be more comfortable and restoring a beautiful tooth. Doctor Willis Why floss? A toothbrush and mouthwash simply can't remove damaging plaque and food between your teeth. Be sure to floss at least once a day, preferably before bedtime to reduce your chance of getting cavities or gum disease!
Many people who grind their teeth will benefit from a night mouth guard, which we can provide. Reducing stress and caffeine may also help alleviate tooth grinding. Give us a call to set up a consultation!
Ten years ago, I left a successful career in electrical engineering to pursue a career
in which I could work one on one with people, helping them to feel more comfortable and more confident. This has long been a dream, and I would like to thank my new neighbors, friends, and patients in Creedmoor, NC for the warm welcome I have received since buying Creedmoor Family Dentistry. I have enjoyed getting to know the community, and am grateful for the opportunity I have to serve the dental needs of Creedmoor, Butner, and other areas of Granville County. I am looking forward to meeting you. Creedmoor Family Dentistry, 919-528-4004. --Dr. Matthew H. Willis |
